Why a data platform, not just a clean-up. The platform turns everyday collection into auditable evidence - the tonnes diverted, carbon avoided and livelihoods supported that embassies, UN agencies, ministries and corporate ESG programmes need before they fund. Every figure below is traceable to a logged collection.

Embassies & development agencies

Grant windows reopened after donor programmes paused. The platform gives a live, GPS-anchored evidence base - diversion rates, SDG 11/12/13 contribution and gender-inclusive livelihoods - that maps directly onto climate-finance and green-recovery reporting.

Ministries & local government

The City Council carries the mandate but not the budget. The platform is offered as shared public infrastructure: the council gains a real-time waste dashboard at no capital cost, and co-owns the data narrative.

Corporates & ESG programmes

Producers and retailers (e.g. FMCG partners) can sponsor streams and see exactly what their contribution diverted - packaging recovered, CO₂e avoided - ready for integrated and sustainability reports.

Research institutes (university)

An open, structured dataset on urban waste composition and flows - a standing resource for a national university and partners studying the circular economy in Southern Africa.

Methodology & assumptions

Demonstration figures are generated from realistic per-location waste profiles across 24 months. Diversion, CO₂e-avoided and recovered-value coefficients are illustrative, per-stream planning estimates (e.g. e-waste and organics carry higher recovery value/carbon benefit than mixed liquids). In production these are replaced by weighbridge and collection-log data and locally-validated emission factors. Nothing here should be cited as measured performance.
